Bubba'n'Stix A500: Secrets, Unfound secrets & Wishes.
If you've never found this place on level -1 of the Spaceship cemetary it's because it doesn't exist.
Bubba'n'Stix Secrets (Youtube Video)
This game needs a remake (not in 3d), sequels, DLCs levels, or new branches to the existing ones (that'd be dreamlike) or a new game in the same universe with a different main character made by Billy Allison and Simon Phipps. It also needs to be put on steam and GOG like all the Amiga games that should be there and are still inaccessible legally, in 2019. I've been playing it for 25 years and I've never come across another video game that had so much character, that was so memorable and unique. Of course, there are many wonderful videogames out there. But there really aren't many that resemble Bubba'n'Stix.
Also, any hint or explanation would be extremely appreciated when it comes to the secrets I haven't figured yet.
Level 1:
The tree : Jump and throw Stix above the tree and turn your back to it so that it opens its eyes. Stix will hit him on its way back. Repeat until the tree disappears.
The Clown Unicycle: Run left behind the tree, and you’ll catch him.
Secret platforms: If you catch the last marbles on the far left, platforms will appear in the level, giving access to more bonuses.
The Tree of Life: The first spitting bird will release a life from the branches of a tree (on the right after crossing a gap with a rock) if Bubba brings him there. (Thanks comment section)
The Cliff: when dropping from the cliff, go left and you’ll penetrate it for more (useless) bonuses.
Level 2:
The Clown Unicycle: He is to be found in a cell and you’ll have to be captured by Waldo about four times to catch him.
Lever 1: There’s a lever on floor -1 (left) that activates a platform that allows Bubba to reach some time marbles.
Lever 2: On floor +2, a lever opens a trapdoor that allows Bubba to be sucked in a pipe and brought to a life. The problem is that the trapdoor is accessible before the lever is, and is thus closed. All this is a bit too complex when you actually just need the bouncing ball to reach the life.
I think that you're supposed to make the jump from the lever platform to the trapdoor one using a little motorized skateboard.
Lever 3: On floor -1 (right), a lever can be triggered by sending a red tentacular alien, it’ll free a life.
Time Marbles Cell: In this cell you have to stick Stix in the wall and then trigger the release of time marbles one by one (jump on the button). They will jump out of the holes in the floor in that order: Left, Right, Left, Left, Right.
Level 3:
The Clown Unicycle: Near switch n°1, which is quite hard to activate without losing health, there’s a lava fall with rocks. The clown unicycle is in the top right room that can be accessed by jumping on these rocks. It's better to go there before activating the switch n°1.
Secret Room: If Bubba deactivates a light (I always use n° 7), at the place where he is usually sucked in a pipe and put in a balloon, he’ll be sent to a secret room instead.
Level 4:
Go left: At the beginning of the level, there are a lot of bonuses on the left.
Inside the wall: The wall on the extreme left of the level can be penetrated.
Secret room: After the second checkpoint, Bubba can climb on two seemingly useless platforms as they’re surrounded with spikes. Bubba can actually enter the wall on the right and enter a secret room with a Clown Unicycle.
Strangely enough, this secret room seems to have been designed to be explored underwater or at least partially flooded. The darts throwing trap is of the kind that requires Bubba to swim. There's a woodboard for Bubba to surf and that would allow him to pick up the clown without getting hurt by the spikes.
Mechanism: Near the end of the level, Bubba uses a machine that throws marbles in order to open a door. If set properly this machine can also trigger the release of a life for Bubba by opening the two first mouths and closing the third one. The problem is that, it’s not always possible as the upper mouths are not always open.
(Thanks comment section Edit: The upper mouths are opened by triggering the release of the little red aggressive Alien twice, earlier in the level)
Remaining secrets:
Secret room: When Bubba has to flood a room to the maximum in order to reach a button, we can notice a secret room above. I don’t know how to get there.
Mysterious room: When Bubba first plays the nice game that is called “getting a fish out of the water before drowning a weird alien” we can notice that there’s a room under the corridor in which he is walking. This area is most probably entirely decorative, but it seems strange that it should be the sole time Bubba can spot another part of the temple that isn’t actually accessible.
There's also one at the end of the level. I know, it's just the withdrawal symptôms slowly driving me mad.
Still, the level is designed in a way that suggests that Bubba visits the temple in its entirety. He isn't in a labyrinth of which he'd only see a small part.
Level 5:
Hitting the first camera of the level will trigger the appearance of a few, very helpful, platforms giving access to very welcome health bonuses.
Life: Bubba can reach a life and a health bonus by triggering a luggage robot while staying on it.
Spikes: Two rows of spikes can be pulled in and leave access to a health alien. I managed to do it by chance a few times as a kid but I really can't remember how. Edit: Bubba just needs to walk on them and they'll disappear.
